The Marine Pearls of Northern Cilento
Day 1 – Baia di Trentova
The itinerary begins in the enchanting Baia di Trentova, famous for its waters that shift from turquoise to deep blue. Between sandy shores and stretches of pebbles, equipped beach areas and free beaches alternate, framed by a natural landscape of great charm.
💡Due to the rocky nature of some parts of the seabed, the use of reef shoes is recommended.
📌 At sunset, the medieval village of Agropoli welcomes visitors with its historic alleys, aperitifs overlooking the marina, and the aroma of the day’s fresh catch that fills the local restaurants.
Days 2/3 – Santa Maria and San Marco di Castellabate
In the heart of the Parco Nazionale del Cilento, Vallo di Diano e Alburni, the beaches of Santa Maria di Castellabate shine like gems set into the coastline. Wide sandy shores such as Spiaggia del Lago and Spiaggia del Pozzillo give way to more intimate and hidden coves: Punta dell’Inferno, lo Scario, and Marina Piccola. In San Marco di Castellabate, Spiaggia della Grotta offers a corner of absolute tranquillity for those wishing to escape the crowds.
📌 A climb up to the historic centre of Castellabate is a must. From the Belvedere San Costabile, the view embraces the entire Cilento coastline, especially magical at sunset.
💡 Reaching Punta Licosa by sea or along the trails departing from the port of San Marco is a true ritual for lovers of untouched nature.
Days 4/5 – Acciaroli and Pioppi (Pollica)
Acciaroli, in the municipality of Pollica, enchants visitors with its stretches of golden sand and the atmosphere of an ancient fishing village. Spiaggia Grande, with its gently sloping seabed, is ideal for families with young children.
Not far away, in Pioppi, the sea breeze accompanies slow and relaxing days. The main beach and Porto del Fico beach, the latter being pet-friendly, offer a peaceful refuge away from the crowds.
📌Boat excursions depart from the harbour towards coves accessible only by sea. The historic centre, with its cobbled streets and the scent of artisan gelato, invites visitors to wander between views of the horizon and the stone architecture typical of Cilento.
Day 6 – Casal Velino
The final stop leads to Casal Velino Marina, where the transparency of the waters meets a deep-rooted fishing tradition. The coastline stretches for kilometres in a peaceful setting that is rarely crowded. In some areas, the presence of pebbles makes entering the water a more immersive experience just a few metres from the shore.
📌 Lungomare Speranza is the perfect place to end the journey: a walk suspended between the blue sea and the culinary specialities of Cilento, while the marina comes alive with a vibrant yet relaxed nautical atmosphere.
