Fascinating archaeological finger that testifies to the meeting between Etruscan, Samnite and Greek cultures, at the origins of Salerno's history.

The Area Archeologica Etrusco-Sanntitica di Fratte  it is one of the oldest and most evocative historical places in Salerno . Located in a strategic position on the Valle dell' Irno , tells the life of the Etruscan and Samnite communities who inhabited the site between the 6th and 3rd centuries BC.

The route in the archaeological park allows you to discover remains of houses , artisanal areas for clay processing and monumental tombs , offering a direct look at the daily life and traditions of the populations who have shaped this territory.

Today Fratte is a place where history and nature meet : a green oasis that preserves memories of the past and invites visitors to explore the oldest roots of the Salerno area.

The finds from the excavations are exhibited at Provincial Archaeological Museum of Salerno et al National Archaeological Museum of Pontecagnano .
