This workshop explores the traditional techniques used to extract natural fibre from the broom plant, following the main stages required to obtain raw fibre from its stems. The experience begins with harvesting broom along the Rocche di Tortorella trail and continues with the transport of the bundles to the workshop, where participants discover the subsequent processing stages: boiling, retting, fibre extraction, washing and beating.
The workshop offers a unique opportunity to appreciate the value of traditional craftsmanship and the complex process of transforming a plant into natural fibre.
