The Parco Archeologico di Paestum e Velia it is located in Campania, between Capaccio and Paestum , and is one of the most important archaeological sites in Italy. Founded by the Greeks around 600 BC. with the name of Poseidonia and then developed as a Roman city, the park preserves significant evidence of ancient life.

Among the main elements of the site are three well-preserved Doric temples: the Temple of Hera , the Temple of Athena and the Temple of Neptune , notable examples of Greek architecture. The area also includes remains of the ancient city, such as streets, public buildings and residences, and the National Archaeological Museum of Paestum , which houses ceramic finds, everyday objects and painted funerary tables.

The park thus offers a complete overview of the history and culture of Paestum , representing an important point of reference for archaeological studies and tourist visits.
